The following email is a phishing scam, aimed at stealing your LavaNet account username and password. If you receive this email, please do not reply. It is recommended that you disregard and delete the message. If you are unsure as to the authenticity of any email that appears to be from LavaNet, please feel free to forward the message to support@lava.net for verification. Remember, LavaNet staff and administration will never ask you for your password over the email.

This page describes how to Configure Mac OS 7.6 - 9.2 TCP/IP for DSL via DHCP

Prerequisite: You will need to have a properly installed and working Network Interface Card (NIC). Start Here

  • Double click on Macintosh HD.
  • Double click on System Folder.
  • Double click the Control Panel.

Open TCP/IP

  • In the "Connect Via" field, select "Ethernet".
  • In the "Configure field" select "Using DHCP Server".
  • Erase all other fields.
  • Close the TCP/IP window.
  • A message will pop up: "Save changes to the current configuration?". Select "Save".
  • Close all the other windows.
  • You have completed configuring your Mac to use DSL for LavaNet!
  • Click on the "Special" menu and select "Restart".
  • After your mac has restarted, your Internet applications such as email and your web browser should be able to access the Internet automatically.
