We are currently experiencing problems with equipment used to provide mailing list service. LavaNet hosted mailing lists stopped accepting new messages shortly after 3:30PM on Tuesday, December 18, 2006. Incoming mail intended for LavaNet hosted mailing lists will be delayed until the problem can be fixed. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Further updates will be posted here.

Update: the mailing lists were finally restored on Thursday, December 21, 2006. The server used to host the mailing lists completely failed, and the system had to be restored from backup and moved to another server. No postings to any mailing lists were lost as far as we can tell. We apologize for the downtime.
